Hunan Manor

Lucky for me, I still had three more days until my long weekend was over, but my brother had to bid us farewell today so as our reunion came to an end, we celebrated our goodbyes at lunch at Hunan Manor in Highland Park, NJ. While the food was delicious, it didn't quite meet the expectations, but that was probably because I kept on comparing it to the neighboring Thumbs Up Restaurant (from my August 30 post). The portions were definitely smaller and the lamb dish in particular just couldn't compare. However, I did love the stinky tofu (which according to my mom wasn't authentic enough, but I still enjoyed it) and the Salted Egg Yolk Steamed Eggplant. Also really love the restaurant's decor and menu--unfortunately, I did not take any photos of that.
From top to bottom: Salted Egg Yolk Steamed Eggplant, Small Fried Stinky Tofu, Braised Fish Slices in Hot Chili Oil, Braised Pork, and Lamb Meat in Wooden Pot.
